2280 OS/2 Device Driver Installation

NOTE: The built-in drivers should already come installed.
Installation, where OS/2 was previously installed.

1. Boot OS2.
2. Edit the CONFIG.SYS file in the root directory, and make sure the drivers are installed as follows:
   • BASEDEV=IBM1S506.ADD
3. Reboot the System.

New Installation.

1. Create a DTC Installation Diskette DTC D1 as follows:
   • Backup original OS2 Diskette 1 to new diskette DTC D1.
   • Edit the CONFIG.SYS file on the DTC D1 diskette.
     • BASEDEV=IBM1S506.ADD
   • Install OS2 according to the OS2 installation guide. When Diskette 1 is prompted, insert the DTC D1 diskette.
